Lon Shealy, Shealy & Associates,
served thirteen years with Armco Steel and Inland Steel in various
capacities before joining Star Manufacturing Company in 1961
as Vice President, Sales. During his tenure the operation grew
from one to five plants and sales from $90,000 to $85,000,000.
The last ten years before selling the company, he served as
President and CEO, during which time he directed the strategic
planning efforts of the company. After retiring in 1987, he
assumed the position of Assistant Director of Business for the
Oklahoma Department of Commerce.
In 1990, he was retained as a consultant to the Oklahoma Career
& Technology Center. His task was to develop a process to
help organizations throughout the state implement strategic
management. Through his efforts, planning is a way of life for
many organizations, in Oklahoma and elsewhere, that have been
assisted by more than two hundred facilitators he has trained.
He is author of the book, Destiny by Design®.
In 1993, he formed Shealy & Associates, a national organization
engaged in the delivery of facilitating services to implement
strategic renewal and planning. He has developed a seminar entitled,

Donald J. Anderson, Senior Partner Strategic Renewal
Group
As advisor and consultant to owners, presidents and CEO’s
of over 100 large to mid-size companies throughout the United
States, Mr. Anderson brings over 30 years of general management
experience to Shealy & Associates, the last 20 years as
President of Anderson Ritter Associates. He is well known for
his skills in helping organizations increase performance and
productivity through better utilization of information.
Don has designed performance measurement and monitoring systems
to tract the vital signs of companies such as Eaton Corp., Illinois
Tools Works, Koss Electronics and Broan Mfg. In addition he
has facilitated strategic planning sessions for a wide variety
of organizations and has conducted workshops on “Open
Book Management” for several manufacturing clients. His
broad background in industry makes him a valuable addition to
any company.

Maria Birkhead is Certified Professional Facilitator
with the International Association of Facilitators,
a Master Facilitator for Strategic Renewal Group, and President
of MCB, Inc. During the past 15 years she has served a wide
variety of organizations both public and private across the
nation. with strategic planning, leadership development, learning
design and development, and customized training for organizational
effectiveness. Last year she assisted the Automotive Industry
Action Group (AIAG is a non-profit association consisting of
automotive supply chain executives from IBM, Chrysler, Ford
& GM) in developing their 5 year industry plan..
She has also worked with Delta Faucet, Gulfstream Aerospace
Technologies, Hobby Lobby Stores, Kerr McGee, Mobil Oil, Lucent
Technologies, Express Personnel Services, The Oklahoma Bar
Association, and a number of other manufacturing companies,
service organizations, and government agencies.
Maria has a B.A. in Speech and Psychology, is a Certified
Facilitator for Achieve Global/ Zenger-Miller's Leadership
2000, DDI's® Empowered Workforce and Strategies
for High Involvement and an Authorized Inscape Publishing
Distributor. Maria has earned a reputation for lively, entertaining,
and productive sessions
